Barry Pulchin, CPA/ABV/CFF/CGMA, CFE, CVA, DABFA was sworn onto the Board of Directors of the Long Island Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was sworn in by Judge Colin O’Connell of Nassau County’s 10th District Court. He previously served as the President of the Long Island Chapter. Mr. Pulchin is a Partner of Prager Metis CPAs, LLC; he also serves as the Director of Forensic Accounting and Valuation Services for Prager Metis.
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is a multi-faceted not-for-profit organization consisting of Investigators, Law Enforcement, Certified Public Accountants, Auditors, Loss Prevention Personnel, Attorneys and related Security Professionals. It is dedicated to fighting fraud and white-collar crime by presenting programs and seminars designed to assist in the detection and prevention of fraudulent conduct. In addition, the Long Island Chapter, with its diverse professional membership, provides an excellent environment for networking opportunities.
Mr. Pulchin holds several professional designations including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accountants (DABFA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certification Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
