Prager Metis secures a Significant Settlement for Digital Performance Rights Organization SoundExchange

Our firm secured a significant settlement for digital performance rights organization SoundExchange to end a lawsuit brought against Sirius XM satellite radio over the underpayment of royalties for music played on the service. Pursuant to the settlement, Sirius XM will pay SoundExchange $150 million in unpaid royalties for performances of sound recordings on its satellite radio service that occurred over a 10-year period.  We thank SoundExchange for allowing us to assist them and SXM for their cooperation and professionalism throughout this process. Read the full article here.
