This March, Prager Metis showcased its commitment to entrepreneurial and business services by sponsoring and attending business leader focused expos on both coasts.
Many of our partners actively assist clients in many advisory needs for entrepreneurs including merger and acquisition services; investment policy oversight; contract negotiations; insurance, pension and retirement planning; outsourced accounting and start-up services and much more.
Most recently, Joseph Rust, a partner in the advisory services department and Regional Managing Partner of California, attended the annual CEO Summit at the University of La Verne outside of Los Angeles. This year’s summit was sponsored in part by Prager Metis, and Mr. Rust served on the advisory board. The event featured keynote speakers and breakout sessions for CEOs and Presidents to learn business growth tactics, strategic planning, and inter-generational talent recruitment and retainment.
“This year’s summit was a great success,” he said. “After attending three summits in the past, we were happy to sponsor this year’s program, and I was proud to be part of the advisory board and to provide a quality program to the University of La Verne community.”
Mr. Rust has decades of experience in business management services, specializing in royalty and profit participation examinations, copyright and intellectual property valuations, financial due diligence, and licensing examinations for the entertainment industry. He was named to Variety’s “Business Managers Elite 2016” for his work with recording artists, songwriters, music publishers, TV actors, and executives.

Mayer said he hoped to share Prager Metis’ full spectrum of services with other businesses at the expo which was well reciprocated “We wanted to meet businesses on Long Island who are not happy with their CPAs or who need a firm that can provide a full spectrum of services.”
The Prager Metis Long Island office currently has partners specializing in estates and trusts; forensic and business valuation; individual, business and international taxes; financial statement comps, reviews, and audits; cybersecurity; and wealth management.
