Prager Metis CPAs, an independent, full-service public accounting and consulting firm with offices in the U.S. and London, is very proud to announce that Marketing Associate, Sarah Holzberg has been honored with the 2017 Long Island Business News’ Volunteer of the Year Award.
Long Island Business News’ Corporate Citizenship Awards recognize companies and individuals who believe that by being a good corporate citizen they contribute to the economic and social well-being of the business and the community. The honorees consistently prove that true community stewardship evolves through building strong partnerships with nonprofit organizations and others that strive to meet the critical needs of our community.

At the start of 2016, Sarah cultivated a relationship with the Alzheimer’s Association on behalf of Prager Metis to start a corporate partnership, as the disease hits home for many of those of Prager Metis, directly affecting many of our team members loved ones including CEO, Glenn Friedman, and Chairman of the Board, David Neste.
Sarah has taken the lead with arranging the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the Longest Day in all the Prager Metis offices, from London to Los Angeles as well as fundraising efforts. The Walks take place in the fall, and the Longest Day will be happening on June 21st. Prager Metis will be holding an AC\DC Karaoke Party during lunch starting in London and ending in Los Angeles to have the “longest” Longest Day.
Sarah has recently taken on a position with the Alzheimer’s Association Manhattan Chapter on the Walk Board Committee as the Wrap-Around Events Chairperson. The Corporate Citizenship Awards will take place at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
