Karen Kerby will be discussing “Specialized Knowledge ESG and Impact Investing: Issues Affecting the Alternative Investment Industry” at the Alternative Investment Fund Conference Webcast, hosted by the NYSSCPA/FAE on Thursday, November 18.This session will provide an overview of ESG and impact investing and a discussion of current developments that fund managers and their accountants should know. It will cover topics such as the generally accepted accounting metrics and standards guiding investment decisions, the status of legal and regulatory proposals by the major standard setters including the GRI, SASB and ISSB: the most recent guidance from the AICPA and SEC; the relevant audit, internal control and risk management best practices for managers and their auditors; and the increase in the use of Sustainability reports prepared by auditors.
