Prager Metis Welcomes Chris Vignone as New Partner

New York, NY— Prager Metis CPAs – a newly combined mid-sized accounting firm with offices in the U.S. and London—welcomes Christopher Vignone as its newest partner. Vignone has been tapped to create a new division, Prager Metis Advisory Services, which will provide an umbrella of corporate recovery and forensic accounting services, available at all Prager Metis locations worldwide. He joins in connection with Prager Metis’ acquisition of a segment of Geller & Company’s State and Local Tax business relating to these services. He will be based at Prager Metis headquarters in New York City.

“We wanted to enhance our service offering capabilities by adding experts to deal specifically with the niche practice of corporate recovery and forensic accounting,” said Glenn Friedman, CEO of Prager Metis CPAs. “With his extensive experience in taxes, especially changing fields such as telecommunications, this is an excellent opportunity for us and Chris is a perfect fit to head up our new Advisory Services division.”

Vignone has over 15 years of corporate and consulting tax experience, working with companies of all sizes and industries. At Geller, he was responsible for all sale and use tax, credits and incentives, telecommunications taxes, and tax technology projects.

Vignone was previously the Partner and Sales Tax Practice Leader for the Grant McCarthy Group and the Director of Taxation and SEC Reporting for Omnipoint Communications. He also participated in drafting and lobbying for state legislation on pre-paid telecommunication services and contributed to the development of the Federal Mobile Sourcing Telecommunications Act. He has a B.A. and an M.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University.
