What We Know
Following the lockdown measures announced by the Government on 31 October 2020 that are due to take effect on 5 November, the Government has announced that it will provide financial support via grants for those businesses that are required to close due to local and national restrictions.
Businesses required to close in England due to local or national restrictions will be eligible for the following:
- For properties with a rateable value of £15k or under, grants to be £1,334 per month, or £667 per two weeks;
- For properties with a rateable value of between £15k-£51k grants to be £2,000 per month, or £1,000 per two weeks;
- For properties with a rateable value of £51k or over grants to be £3,000 per month, or £1,500 per two weeks.

You should contact your Local Authority about how to access the Grant Scheme.
Anticipated Availability
It is expected that the Grant Scheme will be available immediately but you should contact your Local Authority to confirm this and other details relating to the scheme.
