Important IRS Tax Relief Announcement
The IRS has issued filing and payment relief for taxpayers affected by recent disasters. Affected taxpayers have until February 3, 2025, to file various federal returns and make tax payments.
Affected areas:
– Suffolk County, New York
– Fairfield, Litchfield, and New Haven counties, Connecticut
This is automatic for those with addresses in affected areas. Qualifying taxpayers outside the disaster area should call the IRS at 866-562-5227.
