IRS Tax Relief for Los Angeles County

The IRS announced tax relief for Los Angeles County residents & businesses affected by the January 7th wildfires (IR-2025-10): This tax relief postpones various filing and payment deadlines that occurred from Jan. 7, 2025, through Oct. 15, 2025, including but not limited to:

• Individual income tax returns and payments
• 2024 contributions to IRAs and health savings accounts for eligible taxpayers.
• 2024 quarterly estimated income tax payments and estimated tax payments
• Quarterly payroll and excise tax returns
• Calendar-year partnership and S corporation returns
• Calendar-year corporation and fiduciary returns and
• Calendar-year tax-exempt organization returns

Taxpayers in affected areas receive automatic relief. If you’re outside LA County but your tax records were affected, call the IRS at 866-562-5227. California state tax relief is also available – visit CA.gov for details.
