Professional Experience

Nicole Bononi-Wilson is a Principal in the Tax Controversy practice at Prager Metis. She focuses her practice on federal, state, and local tax controversy matters, including collections, examinations, administrative appeals, and litigation. Ms. Bononi-Wilson has represented numerous individuals before the U.S. Tax Court and the Department of Justice, and she advises a diverse client base ranging from individuals and privately held businesses to multinational corporations.

After earning her law degree, Ms. Bononi-Wilson served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Alfred B. Bell of the Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. She later joined a resolution and accounting firm, where she managed complex controversy matters while overseeing the Audit Department.

A dedicated professional and proud mother of two daughters, Ms. Bononi-Wilson brings both personal commitment and professional excellence to her work. She is an active member of Trusted Advisors, contributing her insight to a respected community of professionals.

Her service and leadership have been recognized throughout her career. Prager Metis honored her with both the Community Service Award for her impactful pro bono work and the firm’s Rising Star recognition. She has also been named a “Super Lawyer – Rising Star” in New Jersey for 2024 through 2026, underscoring her growing prominence and respected expertise in the field.
