More than 20,000 IRS Letters being sent to Taxpayers

The IRS is cracking down on perceived fraud in Employee Retention Tax Credit claims. Over 20,000 letters went out this week, disallowing claims from entities that didn’t exist or have employees during the March 2020-December 2021 eligibility period.The IRS plans to increase audits of claims they believe to be fraudulent.
