Joseph Molis is an Office Managing Partner in the Audit and Accounting Department of Prager Metis, a member of Prager Metis International Group. He has been in the accounting profession since 1991.

Joe began specializing in assurance services with gaining foundational auditing experience. In 1995, he left public accounting and transitioned to internal audit roles, serving as an auditor for a publicly traded company and subsequently a financial analyst for one of their Asheville-based business units.

In 1999, Joe returned to public accounting as a manager with a local firm, refining his audit leadership abilities. He was an integral part of a regional firm and then pivoted to a partnership in a local firm, growing it into a regional presence.

As an assurance partner, Joe oversees his firm’s Asheville audit teams, setting expectations for quality and execution. He maintains responsibility for reviewing engagements across industries and instills an emphasis on timely completion of audits to exceed client expectations alongside keeping teams focused.

He thoroughly communicates with clients to facilitate efficient scheduling and identify objectives for each annual review. Extensive planning enables Joe’s teams to conduct streamlined financial statement attestation services for privately held as well as not-for-profit organizationsby leveraging decades of experience.
