Pietro LaPorta is a Partner-in-Charge of the Public Company Audit Practice at Prager Metis, a member of Prager Metis International Group. With over 25 years of experience in public accounting, Pietro brings technical expertise and a proactive, client-focused approach to his engagements.

Pietro specializes in financial audits for both public and private companies, including large multinationals, middle-market, and venture capital clients. He has extensive experience navigating PCAOB, SEC, AICPA, and US GAAP requirements. His expertise includes revenue recognition, purchase accounting, share-based compensation, complex debt transactions, and derivatives. He is known for his hands-on approach to resolving SEC issues, coordinating with internal audit departments, and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 standards.
