On December 20th, Prager Metis CPAs sent 10 volunteers from its New York City office to assist at the West Side Campaign Against Hunger’s 86th Street Food Pantry. This Food Pantry is the first of its kind in the United States and creates a supermarket system for low-income New York City residents to select food based on their nutritional needs while promoting their self-reliance. Volunteers unloaded a food shipment from City Harvest, stocked shelves, packaged food for distribution, and even broke down the boxes from the food they stocked at the pantry. This is volunteer event is from Prager Metis’s own Corporate Responsibility Committee. Thank you to all the volunteers who attended: Dawn Bergen, Jennifer Castiglia, Eduards Dmitrijevs, Michael Durant, Roman Katz, Luba Kogan, Smadar Rinat, Vicki Rosario, Runa Spataru, and Vanessa Trujillo. Look out for more community service events from Prager Metis’s Corporate Responsibility Committee in 2019!
