Yasmine Misuraca is a Partner of Prager Metis CPAs, a member of Prager Metis International LLC. She is the Partner-in-Charge of Forensic and Dispute Advisory Services. She is a forensic accounting specialist providing consulting and expert witness services and has over 25 years of experience in both public accounting and private industry.
Working for both plaintiffs and defendants, Ms. Misuraca’s diverse clientele includes private individuals, attorneys, corporations, and government agencies. She specializes in conducting forensic examinations and assisting clients in complex disputes, such as contract disputes, U.S. SEC actions, mergers and acquisitions, and matrimonial disputes.
She conducts forensic examinations with the highest degree professionalism, integrity and objectivity. In the disputes area, she advises her clients on complex financial issues as part of case strategy. When engaged as an expert, clients benefit from the way she expresses her opinions in her expert reports and the clear and succinct manner for which she testifies.
Ms. Misuraca has an in-depth knowledge of both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. She has consulted with clients on the application of these principles and standards for business transactions and events, including in the context of securities and other litigation.
Ms. Misuraca developed a thorough knowledge of internal controls and internal audit from both her public accounting and private industry experience, and has written numerous articles on topics ranging from increased regulation’s impact on the need for forensic accounting and the challenges in accounting for cryptocurrencies.
