Stephen J. Macaluso

Professional Experience

Stephen Macaluso is a Principal in the Tax Department of Prager Metis CPAs, a member of Prager Metis International. He has worked in the accounting profession since 1975.

Stephen’s responsibilities include tax planning and preparation for individuals, trusts and business entities. His expertise includes estate analysis and planning including the preparation of estate tax filings and estate accountings and is knowledgeable with regards to financial reporting.

Prior to joining Prager Metis in January 2020, Stephen held positions at Berenson, Berenson, Adler and Company and Shine & Company, LLP where he provided various in-house seminars for staff in addition to his client services. He is known for not only providing traditional accounting and tax services to his clients, but also consults with them on matters of concern outside of these services. Stephen is proud of the strong relationships he builds with clients and utilizes personal telephone communication to better understand the client’s needs and facilitate solutions.

Stephen attributes his interest in accounting to his father who served in private accounting and who taught him how to prepare a manual set of books while he was a college student.
