R. Matthew Frank is a Partner in the Tax Department of Prager Metis, a member of Prager Metis International Group. He also serves as the Managing Partner for the Washington DC-Metro office and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Matt has over twenty years of experience in tax and consulting for not-for-profits. He serves domestic and global entities while working closely with the Geneva Group International (GGI) with regards to the international tax and assurance needs of his clients. Matt has experience working with an extensive variety of not-for-profits such as charitable organizations, private foundations, educational institutions, health and welfare organizations, trade associations, political entities, and advocacy groups.
Matt prides himself on helping his clients through all facets of their business with innovative strategies and a unique approach. He often sees them from the formation of the entity towards a viable and consistent enterprise. Matt particularly takes interest helping clients grow their business by enhancing revenue producing activities and digitally automating their operations for maximum profitability. He also enjoys advising entities through their specific industry best practices including an approach towards benchmarking and engineering functional operations.
Matt is consistently recognized as a business leader and influencer in the not-for-profit field. With an unmatched energy he has authored numerous articles, published key industry guidance, conducted prominent seminars and frequently gives presentations to industry professionals and aspiring entities. Giving back to the community is especially important to him as he currently serves on the Board of Directors for many organizations. His efforts have won him many industry accolades and he previously had the honor of being named one of Northern Virginia’s Top Financial Professionals.
Prior to joining Prager Metis in 2019, Matt was part of the leadership team at Frank & Company with the primary responsibility of servicing and supporting the programs of not-for-profit organizations while helping them achieve their goals.
