Professional Experience

Jesse M. Herschbein is an Assurance Manager at Prager Metis, a member of Prager Metis International. He has over 25 years of experience in the accounting profession.

Jesse has extensive experience with the development of internal operations and processes for clients, enhancing efficiency, customer satisfaction and profitability. He is a knowledgeable “virtual CFO” for clients, working closely with their accounting staff to generate and analyze financial information that allows management to make better day-to-day decisions.

Jesse’s clients come from a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, advertising and public relations, construction, real estate, and law firms. He specializes in audit, review and compilation engagements for privately held clients throughout the New Jersey and metro-New York areas.

Prior to joining Prager Metis in October 2019, Jesse was employed both as a CPA for small and mid-size public firms, and as the Controller/CFO for private organizations. He has an intense focus on customer service and is proud of the personal working relationships he has established with his clients and their support staff.

Jesse has served two terms as President of the Essex County Chapter of the NJCPA and has presented for the NJCPA’s “Pay it Forward” Program speaking to High School and College students regarding career opportunities for CPAs and accounting professionals. In addition, he has authored several articles appearing in NJCPA Focus and New Jersey Young Professionals. The NJCPA honored Jesse as a winner in the Impact category at the 2020 Ovation Awards
